I earned my Master’s at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York in 2011. I then received my doctorate from an APA accredited Clinical Psychology program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2017. All of my training has emphasized social justice, identity, and marginalization. Another central part of my background is in adoption including adoptive identity, openness in the adoption triad, transracial and transcultural adoption, and adoptive stigma and microaggressions. As a woman of color who grew up in Oregon, I am aware of the sociopolitical environment of the Northwest. I am licensed with the Oregon Board of Psychologist Examiners (OR #2932). My APA accredited internship was at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Most recently my post doctoral residency was in Portland at the Reed College Health and Counseling Center.
